Essential Soccer mailing list: privacy notice

This page explains what happens to your email address when you join the Essential Soccer mailing list from the demo. The demo itself asks for nothing else: there are no accounts, no advertising and no tracking.
Who we are
Essential Soccer is made by Cirracloud, Sherwood, Lower Seagry, Chippenham, Wiltshire, SN15 5EP, United Kingdom. Cirracloud decides how your email address is used. For any question about your data, or to ask for a copy of it, email hello@cirracloud.com.
What we keep
- Your email address.
- The date and time you signed up.
- The wording you agreed to: “Email me news about Essential Soccer. You can unsubscribe at any time.”
- The team selected in the demo when you signed up, so we know which teams people like.
Why
We use it only to send you a welcome email when you join and then news about Essential Soccer, such as the full game's release. We rely on your consent, which you give by ticking the box. We do not sell, rent or share your address with anyone for their own marketing.
Where it is stored
The list is held in a database run for us by Cloudflare (our hosting provider) in its Western Europe region. Our emails come from hello@essentialsoccer.app and are delivered by Resend, which receives your address only to deliver them and may process it in the United States under its data processing agreement, which includes the standard contractual clauses for transfers outside the UK and EU. Neither may use your address for anything else.
How long
We keep your address until you unsubscribe or we close the mailing list, whichever comes first. When you unsubscribe your address is deleted, not just marked as unsubscribed.
On your device
After you sign up, the game remembers that you have joined in your browser's local storage so it does not ask again. It is not a cookie, it is never sent to us, and clearing your browser data removes it.
Your rights
You can withdraw your consent at any time, and ask to see, correct or delete what we hold about you by emailing hello@cirracloud.com. Unsubscribing below, or with the link in any of our emails, deletes your address straight away. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data you can complain to your data protection authority; in the UK this is the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
